Torroidal strip wound cores form a virtually air gap free magnetic circuit and constant cross section and generally offer magnetic properties very near to that of the raw material.
Strip wound cores manufactured by KRYFS Power Components Ltd. have found vital applications in the electrical and electronic industry. A wide range of such cores are manufactured at our factory located at Dadra Nagar Haveli.

TYPES OF CORES MANUFACTURED :
ROUND CORE OR RING CORE :
These cores are most extensively used in the manufacture of potential and current Transformers auto Transformers and reactors .
Rectangular Cores are widely used in high tension resin cast
current and potential Transformers.
PROCESS :
SLITTING:
CRGO Electrical steel comes in the form of wide coils having widths of 750 mm to 1000 mm. These coils are to be slit in various widths in steps of 5mm, ranging from 10 mm to 100 mm.
WINDING:
These slit coils are wound on semi automatic winding machine as per the dimensions given by our customers.
SPOT WELDING:
On winding the cores to the exact size the start and finished ends of the core are spot welded on spot welding machine.
STRESS RELIEF ANNEALING:
During the winding process, severe stresses are induced in the gains of the raw material. Theses stresses are relieved in our specially designed annealing furnace equipped with automatic temperature controller, circulating fan and inert atmosphere. The annealing cycle (at 800°C) is properly controlled to get uniform and best annealing results.
TESTING:
Since the electrical properties of cores are very critical, every core is tested on a specially designed test bench. The ampere turns/cm (magnetization current) are measured on every core to ensure that they are within the specified limits.
PAINTING:
After testing the 'PASSED' cores are painted with N.C. paint to prevent the cores from corrosion.
LABELLING & PACKING:
Every core is Labelled with our test results and our
Company Logo. The Electrical Properties of Torroidal Cores are very sensitive to bad handling during transit. We take great care while packing the cores in wooden boxes with cushioning material to prevent stresses on the cores during dispatch.
PROPERTIES & RANGE OF CORES AVAILABLE
Cores are normally specified as D x d x h where D is outside diameter in mm. d is the inside diameter in mm and h is the strip width in mm.
Our min inside diameter is 20 mm, and increases in steps of 5 mm upto 250 mm.
Our maximum outside diameter D is 360 mm ht (H) is available from 10 mm to 100 mm steps of 5 mm.

Rectangular cores can be manufactured to suit the needs of the customer who have to specify he dimensions of the rectangular core.
Electrical properties of rectangular cores are same as that of round cores.
